COVID-19 is an infectious respiratory disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The infection can range in severity—from mild, cold-like symptoms to more severe symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue, muscle aches, or loss of taste or smell. In some cases, the infection may also be asymptomatic, which increases the risk of unknowingly transmitting the virus to others.

How to perform the test?

1. Wash your hands with warm water and soap, then dry them thoroughly.
2. Open the package and prepare all the components of the kit.
3. Open the tube containing the extraction reagent.
4. Gently unscrew the protective cap from the tube.
5. Remove the sterile swab from the packaging.
6. Carefully insert the swab into one nostril to a depth of about 2 cm.
7. Rotate the swab 5 times against the inner wall of the nose.
8. Repeat the procedure in the other nostril using the same swab.
9. Place the swab into the extraction reagent tube and rotate it for about 30 seconds.
10. Remove the swab by squeezing the sides of the tube to recover as much fluid as possible.
11. Press the dropper firmly against the extraction tube.
12. Apply 3 drops of the sample to the test well of the cassette.
13. Wait 15 minutes and read the result.

The result should not be interpreted after 30 minutes.
