  This kit is intended for the quantitative in vitro measurement of troponin I (cTnI) concentrations in human whole blood, serum, or plasma. Troponin is a protein consisting of three subunits: troponin I, T, and C, which, together with tropomyosin, regulate the interaction between actin and myosin by modulating Ca2+ activity on myo-ATPase. In the event of myocardial damage, the cardiac troponin complex is released into the blood, and its elevation can be detected in the blood after 4–6 hours. Elevated troponin I levels may persist in the blood for 6–10 days, providing a longer detection window. Cardiac troponin I (cTnI) is characterized by high specificity and sensitivity, making it an ideal marker for acute myocardial infarction (AMI).
