The Strep A Test is a rapid immunochromatographic test for the qualitative detection of Group A streptococcal antigens in a throat swab sample. The test is intended for in vitro diagnostics and can be performed at home. It enables rapid identification of Streptococcus pyogenes infection.

Rapid detection of the infection can support the implementation of appropriate preventive measures and the initiation of proper treatment. The test may be helpful in cases of symptoms such as a sore throat, difficulty swallowing, fever, or redness of the throat. Regular health monitoring and rapid diagnosis can help in the early detection of the infection and consultation with a doctor

  • Monitoring student health: Schools can use this test to monitor student health, particularly when infectious symptoms appear among children. This allows for the rapid isolation of potentially infected students and prevents the spread of infection.
  • Preventing the spread of infection: In work environments where contact between employees is frequent, a rapid test can help identify and isolate infected individuals, which is essential for maintaining a healthy work environment.
  • Travel safety: Travelers, especially those heading to high-risk areas, can carry a test with them to quickly diagnose and respond to the onset of symptoms, which is particularly important when access to medical care is limited.
