Considerations Before Conducting the Drug Test

• Time since last use of the drug – most tests are most reliable up to 3 days after the last use (however, depending on the substance, the detection time can be up to 30 days).
• Possibility of sample tampering – individuals who are addicted may try to falsify the test results; therefore, it is recommended to accompany the potentially addicted person while they provide the saliva sample.
• Type of drug used, which can define the detection window. Some substances stay in the body longer, while others are eliminated faster.

Test Procedure

1. Before starting the test, ensure that the test panel is at room temperature (15-30ºC). For 10 minutes before the test, the patient should not place anything in their mouth, including food, drink, chewing gum, or tobacco products.
2. Remove the test panel from the foil pouch and use it within one hour.
3. Remove the cap and collect the saliva sample according to the instructions below. IMPORTANT: Swipe the absorbent pad across the gums (about 10-15 times) to stimulate saliva production.
4. Place the absorbent pad under the tongue until oral fluids start to appear in the test windows (about 60 seconds).
5. Remove the device from the mouth and start the timer.
6. Place the test panel on a flat, clean surface.
7. Read the test results after 3-10 minutes. If all lines are clearly visible at 3 minutes or earlier, the test can be considered negative. If no lines are visible at 3 minutes, re-read the result at 10 minutes.
