The rapid cassette test for the semi-quantitative determination of CRP (whole blood/serum/plasma) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of human CRP in whole blood, serum and plasma as an aid in the diagnosis of inflammation.

C-reactive protein (CRP) in patients’ serum has been found in association with acute infections, necrotic conditions and various inflammatory infections. There is a strong correlation between serum CRP levels and the onset of the inflammatory process. Monitoring CRP levels in patients’ sera indicates the effectiveness of treatment and the evaluation of patients’ recovery.
