Test procedure

  1. Before starting the test, ensure that the test panel is at room temperature (15-30ºC). The patient should not place anything in their mouth, such as food, drinks, chewing gum, or tobacco products, for 10 minutes before the test.
  2. Remove the test panel from the foil packaging and use it within one hour.
  3. Take off the cap and collect the saliva sample following the instructions below. IMPORTANT: Rub the absorbent pad along the gums (approximately 10-15 times) to stimulate saliva production.
  4. Place the absorbent pad under the tongue until oral fluids begin to appear in the test windows (about 60 seconds).
  5. Remove the device from the mouth and start the timer.
  6. Place the test panel on a flat, clean surface.
  7. Reading the results
    a)
Alcohol: Read the test results after 3-5 minutes. Compare the color of the reaction field with the color chart to determine the relative alcohol level in the oral cavity. If only the outer edges of the color field are slightly stained and most of the field remains colorless, the result should be considered invalid.
Note: The test is highly sensitive to alcohol presence. A blue color lighter than the field marked with a concentration of 0.02% should be interpreted as a positive result.
    b) Drugs: Read the test results after 3-10 minutes. If all lines are clearly visible within 3 minutes or earlier, the test can be considered negative. If no lines are visible after 3 minutes, read the result again after 10 minutes.
