Before conducting a drug test, the following factors should be considered

1. The time since the last use of an intoxicating substance – most tests are most reliable within 3 days of the last use. However, depending on the substance being tested, the detection window can be as long as 30 days.
2. The possibility of sample tampering – individuals with addiction may attempt to falsify test results. Therefore, it is recommended to accompany the potentially addicted individual during the collection of the urine sample for testing.
3. The type of drug used may determine the timeframe in which the substance can be identified. Some substances remain in the body longer, while others are detectable for shorter periods.

Test procedure

1. Before starting the test, ensure that the urine sample and/or control are at room temperature (15-30ºC).
2. Remove the test panel from the sealed pouch once it has reached room temperature and use it within one hour.
3. Take off the cap.
4. Point the arrow toward the urine sample. Dip the test panel vertically into the urine sample for at least 10-15 seconds, ensuring the test strip is submerged at least to the level of the wavy lines but not above the arrow on the test panel.
5. Replace the cap and place the test panel on a flat, non-absorbent surface.
6. Start the timer and wait for the colored lines to appear.
7. Reading the results
   a) Alcohol: Read the test results after 3-5 minutes. Compare the color of the reaction field with the color chart to determine the relative alcohol level in the oral cavity.
   Note: Verify that the sample has not been tampered with by using the included color chart.
   b) Drugs: Read the test results after 5 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 10 minutes.
